Mobilizing Our Uniqueness: The Way to the Future

Our New Moon of December 24, 2011 occurs in sidereal Sagittarius, which begins the last lunar cycle of 2011. It conjoins the bow and arrow of the Zen Archer and a location in the northern heavens called the Solar Apex. The Solar Apex is not an object, but the direction toward which our Sun is currently moving in our local interstellar field. Our Sun, along with our entire local inter-stellar neighborhood, orbits the center of our galaxy at a speed roughly estimated to be about 217 kilometers per second (about 485,400 miles per hour). Thus, our solar system’s cosmic environment continually changes, which is one of many factors contributing not only to our Sun’s continually changing behavior and subsequent planetary changes, but also to our continually changing evolutionary experience.

The astrological qualities of this area of sidereal Sagittarius produce a heightened perceptual awareness, are of higher mind, and they impel radical and spontaneous action to pursue our unique paths in life, undaunted by the consensus of the status quo.

“Seeking Sameness leads to Separation. Honoring Uniqueness leads to Oneness.”

Jupiter completes its retrograde just after the New Moon, which restores our experience of movement and expansion. This fully commences the new 399-day Earth-Jupiter synodic cycle that began on October 29. The theme of this synodic cycle inspires us to get off the fence of indecision and to leave the small and middle-ground approaches in our lives. It invites us to move forward in our partnerships in an expansive and all embracing way; and it invites the expansion and expression of heart and art in a big way.

Venus makes several conjunctions in this lunar cycle and also begins new synodic cycles with Vesta, Uranus, Ceres and Eris. These events influence matters associated with heart, art, and financial resources. They also bring inspiration to cross new bridges, and to pursue our greater dreams and visions. Jupiter’s shift along with Venus’ prominent role in this lunar cycle also adds a social quality to this lunar cycle. All of this produces a progressive and heart-oriented lunar month.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more--the underlying cosmic currents upon which we evolve and which guide our daily lives--based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

Nov 25, 2011 New Moon Theme
Responsibility for Life

Our New Moon of November 25 (Nov 24 MST), 2011 occurs in sidereal Scorpio. It conjoins the stars forming the head of the Scorpion. In essence, the stars of this area of the zodiak impel us to graduate into a new level of self-realization and actualization. In this process, we become aware that we create our experience and are responsible for the life scenarios in which we find ourselves. We shift from feeling helpless, even justifying why we are entrapped as if victims of our life experience, into a greater maturity and embracing unified wisdom. We learn to express mastery over the dualistic forces that were once entrapping or even destructive, and become responsible to use and direct the creative forces of life to steer our evolutionary destiny.

This is an eclipse lunar cycle with a Partial Solar Eclipse occurring on the New Moon and a Total Lunar Eclipse occurring on the Full Moon of December 10. Eclipse lunar cycles generally occur every six months. They impel a fresh start through our sojourns in life. The next six-month period unfolds within the context of this lunar cycle’s theme. A dynamic T-square occurs on First Quarter Moon providing impetus to initiate independent and progressive action supportive of humanitarian-based pursuits.

Saturn and recently discovered Eris made their first opposition in the last lunar cycle, bringing attention to redefining the structures in our lives. This is a significant and intense planetary alignment with its effects continuing through June of 2012. Now, in this lunar cycle, Saturn and Eris make their formal synodic opposition. This is the actual midpoint of vision and realization in the current Saturn-Eris 30-year synodic cycle that began in 1997. Eris, the great disruptor, deep in Cetus, the techno-bureaucratic monster of collective human consciousness, is serving to reorganize the structure of human consciousness. Now, and continuing over the months ahead, we begin to have realizations regarding the importance of our need for a drastic reorganization in the fundamental structures in our lives and those supporting humanity.

Mercury, in the midst of its retrograde begins its new ~116-day synodic cycle with Earth in this lunar cycle. It supports the formation of new enterprising and entrepreneurial efforts in our lives.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more--the underlying cycles upon which we evolve and which guide our daily lives--based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

Oct 26, 2011 New Moon Theme
A Matter of Balance: The Art of Living, Unlocking our Coding

Our New Moon of October 26, 2011 occurs in sidereal Libra. It conjoins Miaplacidus of Argo Navis; the Supergiant star Syrma of Virgo; and The Purple Rose of Virgo. It also conjoins Juno, asteroid of covenant relations, within a couple of degrees, bringing attention to partnerships and their working relations. This area of the zodiak is about unlocking our potential to move forward, navigation in time and space; and creating the means for and ensuring an environmental harmonic resonance that supports our evolutionary fulfillment.

The big event in this lunar month is the start of the Saturn-Eris opposition, which is triggered on the New Moon by the Mars and Venus-Mercury square. This is a significant planetary alignment that will culminate in November of 2011 with its effects continuing through June of 2012. This marks the midpoint of vision and realization in the current Saturn-Eris 30-year synodic cycle that began in 1997. Eris, the great disruptor, deep in Cetus, the techno-bureaucratic monster of collective human consciousness, is serving to reorganize the structure of human consciousness. Eris now takes a stand against Saturn, that which is solidified and long established in our lives.

Refreshingly, Jupiter and Earth begin their new 399-day synodic cycle in sidereal Aries, mobilizing personal action and pioneering leadership that motivates us to reinvent our lives. Ceres and Uranus begin their new 5-year synodic cycle in sidereal Pisces, inviting radical change in how we nurture and are nurtured. Venus and Mercury maintain their tight conjunction throughout this lunar cycle, as they move through sidereal Scorpio and the constellation Ophiuchus. In the process, Venus and Mercury conjoin the Centaur Pholus on the Moon’s North Node, supporting a metamorphic transition. Mercury begins its retrograde a few hours before the following New Moon in passionate Scorpio.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more--the underlying cycles upon which we evolve and which guide our daily lives--based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

Sept 27, 2011 New Moon Theme
Actualization: Action in the Now

Our New Moon of September 27, 2011 occurs in sidereal Virgo and it conjoins Mercury, which is exalted (empowered) in Virgo. The New Moon and Mercury conjoin Zaniah of Virgo, Turais of Argo Navis, Beta Coma Berenices, and Theta Bootes. This area of the zodiak is about following our soul-level or spiritual guidance, living our inner truths, and to become one in thought, word and deed. This lunar cycle is productive and progressive. It is about communication and applying right action in the daily logistics of our lives in the now, moment-by-moment.

Venus joins already conjoining Juno, Haumea and Saturn, bringing its harmonizing, feminine, heart-felt and abundant energetic to the theme that has been unfolding over the last couple of months coalesced by Juno, Haumea and Saturn: impelling a "new birth in partnerships" to engage in new concretized expressions in the world. Mercury then follows, conjoining the three. Mercury stimulates the actualization of this new birth, living it in the daily logistics of our lives. It impels us to act in the now. The Sun then conjoins Haumea on the Full Moon, and then Saturn and Juno following the Full Moon, bringing illumination and realization about this new Juno-Haumea-Saturn theme in our lives.

Earth and Dwarf Planet Eris begin a new-year long synodic cycle in sidereal Pisces. Mars and Venus create a dynamic aspect with Saturn and Eris toward the end of the lunar cycle, just as Saturn and Eris form their potent opposition, which occurs on the following New Moon of October 26.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more--the underlying cycles upon which we evolve and which guide our daily lives--based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

August 29, 2011 New Moon Theme
Defining Our Evolutionary Course
& the Long Term Ramifications

Our New Moon of August 29, 2011 (Aug 28 MST) occurs in sidereal Leo. It conjoins the Sextant; the Vela X-1 Neutron Star and the Vela Pulsar of Argo Navis; Thuban of Draco; and the hind leg of the Great Bear. The essence of these stars and our lunar cycle is about defining and steering our evolutionary course with conscious consideration for the long-term ramifications of the direction we set now in our lives. They impel us to assert our creative force to ensure our evolutionary safety, nurturing, and fulfillment. They also impel the distribution or delegation of power and authority to and for the people. Jupiter also begins its retrograde on the New Moon.

The Full Moon in sidereal Aquarius occurs with the Sun and Moon in an exact square to the Lunar Nodes, producing an intense and unstable energetic. Also involved is Ceres, bringing emphasis to environmental concerns and issues.

The Dwarf Planet Ceres also begins a new 15-month synodic cycle with Earth in late sidereal Aquarius. The theme of this cycle is defined by Markab of Pegasus and the Zetas of Reticuli.

Juno, the asteroid of covenant partnerships, Saturn, and the newly discovered Dwarf Planet Haumea made a compounded synod in sidereal Virgo in the last lunar cycle. This began a new many-year cycle with a theme created by the synthesis of these three planetary energetics nesting in Virgo’s stellar backdrop. In this lunar cycle, the three conjoin, kicking off this new cycle and impelling a new birth for partnerships in concretized and stable expressions.

Earth and Uranus begin a new year-long synodic cycle in watery sidereal Pisces conjoining the thrashing tail of Cetus the Sea Monster.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more--the underlying cycles upon which we evolve and which guide our daily lives--based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

July 30, 2011 New Moon Theme
Emergence and Migration

Our New Moon of July 30, 2011 occurs in mid-sidereal Cancer and it conjoins Praesepe, the Beehive Star Cluster (M44). Cancer is commonly referred to as the Crab, but it is also the Egyptian Scarabaeus, an image that articulates the theme of humanity's emergence from darkness, dogma, and delusion and its reawakening back to light. The Scarab is an appropriate mythical figure here because the beetle emerges from its snuggle in its own dung, where it matures. This theme also applies to our individual emergence from the family nest or from the collective consciousness that we co-create. The Scarab is a symbol of regeneration, transformation and re-birth, of being self-created, or self-made, to rise from itself--hence humanity's association with the beetle’s emergence.

Praesepe embodies the essence of the Scarab / Cancer theme: emergence out of the antiquated dogmatic entrapments we had been living in, and our migration or new birth. Praesepe is of new beginnings, shedding old skins, skeletons, and cocoons. It is of emerging out of the frenetic confusion of mass consciousness; finding our new path and direction; leaving behind old dwellings and the structures of consciousness they represent; and getting out of our personal or collective dogmas and the darkness they create. The issue here is about making the move.

Several key events and shifts occur in this lunar cycle: Juno, the asteroid of covenant partnerships, stoic Saturn, and the newly discovered Dwarf Planet Haumea make a compounded synod (planetary alignment with the Sun) in sidereal Virgo. This begins a new many-year cycle with a theme created by the synthesis of these three planetary energetics nesting in Virgo’s stellar backdrop.

Mercury’s retrograde occurs in this lunar cycle, with Earth and Mercury shifting into their next ~116-day synodic cycle theme. Mercury’s retrograde provides an opportunity to redefine the logistical aspects of our lives.

Earth and the asteroid Vesta make a significant synod in sidereal Capricorn. This is the “Year of Vesta,” thanks to NASA’s DAWN spacecraft, which just entered into orbit around the asteroid in July of 2011. DAWN is producing spectacular close-up images of the asteroid and is bringing us a greater understanding of Vesta.

Earth, Neptune and Chiron also begin new synodic cycles in this lunar cycle, in sidereal Aquarius, the humanitarian waterbearer.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more--the underlying cycles upon which we evolve and which guide our daily lives--based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

July 1, 2011 New Moon Theme
Commencement, Cooperation & Communication

The New Moon (a Partial Solar Eclipse) of July 1, 2011 occurs in mid-sidereal Gemini. Conjoining stars include Alhena and Alzirr of Gemini, the foot of Pollux of the Twins, Castor and Pollux; and Mebsuta of Castor. Additional conjoining stars include Beta Monoceros and the Rosetta Nebula, all of the Unicorn; a Quasar in Auriga the Charioteer; and Urodelus of northern Ursa Minor.

This lunar cycle marks a turning point, a time of departure and commencement regarding that which we have been working on for some time now, or regarding new opportunities presenting themselves. It is a time of getting off the fence of indecision, a time to get on with it. That which we put into action now may precede and prepare us for greater events to come.

Our First Quarter Moon conjoining the newly discovered Dwarf Planet Haumea (pronounced how-MAY-ah) in sidereal Virgo brings external stimulus to action to create a new birth in our lives.

Uranus and the Dwarf Planet Ceres begin their synchronous retrogrades in this lunar cycle. Uranus has been transiting a key point in the zodiak over these last many months--the vernal point of Earth's Precessional Cross--and now along with the presence of Ceres, this inspires radical change and challenge to create new and alternative modalities of living, and nurturing ways of participating in the world.

The Full Moon occurring under the auspices of Lyra in late sidereal Sagittarius lies opposite the Sun's conjunction with Varuna in late sidereal Gemini, another newly discovered planetary body in our solar system. Varuna impels our return to natural law and to nature's way. Varuna inspires us to surrender the forced ways and laws of man that are not attuned to the natural flow of life, and it brings our attention to the ecology of life, including our agricultural needs. The Varuna-Sun Moon opposition also forms a dynamic and catalyzing T-square with Eris, the great disruptor and reorganizer. Varuna and Eris in a long-standing square, mark the action point of "stimulus to action" in a cycle that began in 1929.

Juno and the newly discovered Dwarf Planet Makemake (pronounced MAH-keh MAH-keh) also conjoin on the Full Moon, on the cusp of sidereal Virgo, bringing our attention to the administration or resources in our partnerships.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more, the underlying cycles upon which we evolve and which guide our daily lives--based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

June 1, 2011 New Moon Theme
Pioneering Pursuits supporting Self, Home, Family and Friends

The New Moon (a Partial Solar Eclipse) of June 1, 2011 occurs in mid-sidereal Taurus and conjoins Aldebaran, Eye of the Bull, the primary star of Taurus; and the Shield of Orion. Aldebaran lies directly opposite Antares of Scorpion, both marking the center of their respective signs in the sidereal zodiak. The Aldebaran-Antares axis was the primary fiducial (reference point) for the Babylonian zodiak. Our Full Moon will produce a Total Lunar Eclipse conjoining Lesath, the sting of the Scorpion; with the following New Moon of July 1, producing another Partial Solar Eclipse in sidereal Gemini.

Our attention turns toward earthy matters, business, home and family in this lunar cycle. Sidereal Taurus is the primogeniture of the zodiak, the Earth sign from which life springs. Aldebaran holds the vision for global leaders and world servers inspiring the administrative planning of world affairs, specifically for physical logistics and a global infrastructure designed to support humanity through evolutionary growth and change.

Aldebaran is a star of pioneering leadership. At a personal level, Aldebaran is of business and the home. It impels initiative to take action for our physical wellbeing. Aldebaran inspires involvement with physical places, business and projects supportive of our modalities of living for self, family and friends.

Jupiter and recently discovered Eris, the great disruptor and reorganizer, begin their new 12-year synodic cycle in this Lunar Cycle, conjoining Revati of Pisces and Baten Kaitos of Cetus (in sidereal Pisces). This new synodic cycle marks another significant shift in our evolutionary process.

Earth and Pluto begin their new annual synodic cycle later in this lunar cycle in sidereal Sagittarius; and Vesta and Pallas begin a new 15-year synodic cycle under the auspices of Altair, Eye of the Eagle.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more, the underlying cycles upon which we evolve and which guide our daily lives--based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

May 3, 2011 New Moon Theme
Power of the People: Personal Action with Global Awareness

The New Moon of May 3, 2011 occurs in initiatory Aries. It lies over the Head of Cetus, our techno-bureaucratic monster of collective human consciousness. North are the feet of Andromeda, Queen Cassiopeia and King Cepheus. South is Eridanus, the River of Life; Horologium, the pendulum clock; and Dorado, the golden fish. Impending time invites us to take personal responsibility for our human condition rather than leaving it to the bureaucracies of the world, which would lead us to our demise. The Sun is exalted in sidereal Aries creating an empowering lunar cycle. It is a cycle of initiation, leadership, and of initiating creative pursuits for self.

Several new planetary cycles begin in this lunar cycle: Mars, Jupiter and Eris conjoined in sidereal Pisces at the end of the previous lunar cycle. Now, in this lunar cycle, Mars and Jupiter begin a new 2.25-year synodic cycle; and Mars and Eris begin a new 1.9-year cycle. These events precede and act as a trigger to the upcoming main event, which is the start of a new Jupiter-Eris 12-year synodic cycle that will begin on June 4, 2011, in the following lunar cycle.

Eris, discovered in 2005 in the bowels of Cetus, was responsible for the formation of the new “Dwarf Planet” classification and the reclassification of Pluto to Dwarf Planet status, the family to which Eris, Pluto and Ceres now belong. Eris, the Great Disruptor, provokes change by upsetting the status quo, by upsetting the apple cart. Although Eris can create a disrupting commotion, upsetting our existing, limiting and antiquated structures of consciousness. She opens us to see beyond the finite bounds of our current perception, beyond the bounds we place upon ourselves by arousing and challenging our egoic defenses. In doing so, we are left to redefine and reorganize our worldview to embrace a far vaster reality--a view more fitting to our rapidly expanding awareness.

Venus and Uranus also begin a new synodic cycle on the vernal point of Earth’s Precessional Cross. Mars and Uranus began their new synodic cycle at the same location in the previous lunar cycle. Uranus’ passage over the vernal point starting in March and continuing through the rest of this year creates a primary activation of the Precessional Cross--our portal of evolutionary change in Earth’s ~25,000-year precessional cycle. It stimulates a radical departure from the conformity of the past at a global and evolutionary level. Water related events catalyzing radical change could be expected to continue throughout the year. The Venus trigger occurring now is not as dramatic as the Mars trigger or cycle. However, this new 226-day Venus-Uranus synodic cycle, continuing through January 1, 2012, stimulates a radical change of Heart and with the feminine expression in the world and in our lives.

Ceres begins new synodic cycles with Neptune and Chiron. The Last Quarter Moon of this lunar cycle conjoins Neptune and Chiron in Aquarius inspiring humanitarian-focused change to cross a bridge upon visions and dreams that may have been gestating for the last couple of years. The Balsamic Moon conjoins Eris, creating the finale of the lunar cycle. This entire lunar cycle motivates personal action to move and expand from any disruptions that may have occurred in our lives, or from an antiquated way of life or mode of living.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more, the underlying cycles upon which we evolve and which guide our daily lives--based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

April 3, 2011 New Moon Theme
Portents of Life Changing Proportions

This is an incredibly significant and extremely potent lunar cycle. The New Moon of April 3, 2011 occurs in sidereal Pisces amongst a stellium of planets, including Mars, Uranus, Jupiter, Eris and Mercury, all in sidereal Pisces. The New Moon aspects the two largest and most influential planets in our solar system. The New Moon conjoins mobilizing and expansive Jupiter and it lies opposite imposing Saturn, which marks the beginning of a new 378-day Earth-Saturn synodic cycle. Saturn, in sidereal Virgo and conjoining the stars of Corvus, the Raven Messenger, demands we heed and respond to the signs expressing through the natural world around us. This Lunar Cycle impels expansive change and transformation on a grand scale, within our personal lives and in our societal structure. The New Moon conjoins Alpheratz, the head of Princess Andromeda, and Alderamin, the Alpha star of King Cepheus. Making passage through the tumultuous waters of life, and the means to do so, is of issue.

Several other significant events occur in this lunar month as well. Mars and Uranus also make their conjunction on the New Moon, and they conjoin the Vernal Point of Earth's Precessional Cross--again activating our portal of evolutionary transition. Expect the unexpected with stimulus to take creative, spontaneous and radical action, an energetic that will intensify over the months ahead. Mars and Uranus also begin a new 1.9-year synodic cycle at this very significant location in the spherical astrophysical geometry created by the intersection of the galactic plane, the ecliptic plane, and the Earth's equatorial plane.

Juno, the asteroid of significant relationships, and Makemake, a newly discovered Dwarf Planet, begin a new 4.4-year synodic cycle, which marks a significant shift for relationships and partnerships of all types, especially regarding the administration of resources and providing for our material needs. It invites us to redefine how we administer resources in our relations, in business, and between countries. Juno is currently in its retrograde, from mid-January through the end of this lunar cycle, impelling many needed changes in our relationships and how we interrelate in the world throughout this entire period.

Earth and retrograde Mercury begin a new 116-day synodic cycle, stimulating a shift in the logistical aspects of our lives. This new synod conjoins massive and highly active Eta Carina of Argo Navis, a portent of evolutionary change.

Eris, the Great Disruptor, another newly discovered Dwarf Planet, in Cetus disrupting the fear-instilling techno-beuarocratic monster, is a significant player in this lunar cycle, especially on our First Quarter Moon of April 11, when Eris creates stimulus to action in this lunar cycle; later in the cycle when the Sun conjoins Eris, and again, at the end of the lunar cycle, when Mars, Jupiter and Eris all conjoin in the Piscean tumultuous waters of life.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more, the underlying cycles upon which we evolve and which guide our daily lives--based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

March 4, 2011 New Moon Theme
Radical Change from the
River of Life into Vaster Waters

The New Moon of March 4, 2011 occurs in sidereal Aquarius and conjoins Achernar of Eridanus, the river of life; and Ankaa of the Phoenix. This lunar cycle marks a completion of a leg of life, and an emergence into a vaster body of consciousness, much like a river's delta opens into an ocean. Boundaries dissolve as our dreams and visions shift and swirl us into a greater universality and potentiality of being. This lunar cycle is packed full of opportunities for emotional growth, personal empowerment, and spiritual expansion.

A new Earth-Juno 434-day cycle begins on the First Quarter Moon, which begins a new cycle for relationships and partnerships of all types. It also creates our stimulus to action in this lunar cycle, which may catalyze significant changes for relationships and how we interrelate.

The Lunar Nodes align with the Galactic Equatorial Nodes (the Gate of God / Gate of Man of Earth's 25,000-year precessional cross), which began in the previous lunar cycle--an 18.6-year occurrence. Uranus nesting on the Vernal Point (5° sidereal Pisces) squares the Lunar Nodes-galactic alignment.

The March 20 equinox occurs the day after the Full Moon, with the Sun conjoining Uranus and squaring the Lunar Nodes-Galactic Nodes alignment, stimulating dynamic radical action to break away from the conforming bounds of the past. The Sun's square to the Lunar Nodes occurring on the Full Moon-equinox provides opportunity to clear any emotional imbalances that may keep us from moving forward into vaster waters. The Sun-Uranus alignment also marks the mid-point of vision and realization in our current 370-day Earth-Uranus synodic cycle, which began on September 21, 2010, bring revelations about the radical changes we are making and need to make in our lives.

All of this creates a primary activation of Earth's Precessional Cross--our portal of evolutionary change--producing a strong acceleration of, and need for, radical change in human neurology, in our lives, and in the world.

Jupiter and Saturn make their third and final opposition later in the lunar cycle, bringing realizations about journeys and ventures begun in 2000.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more, the underlying cycles upon which we evolve and which guide our daily lives--based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

February 3, 2011 New Moon Theme
Responsible Expansive & Mobilizing
Creative Leadership

The New Moon of February 3 GMT (Feb 2 MST) conjoins Mars in sidereal Capricorn. The stars in this area of the zodiak inspire us to participate and express from the intelligent maturity and truth of self-realized conscious beings rather than following whatever mass-propaganda happens to be in vogue. It is an articulate, loquacious and expressive area of the zodiak associated with the grammatical arts, law and associated disciplines requiring articulation of the written word. It is of libraries, courts, publishing houses, literary agencies, or where any legalities are formulated, agreed upon and concretized. This articulates the constructive character of Saturn, which is at home in sidereal Capricorn.

Mars is often associated with the forceful or awry use of power. However, in its mature expression, Mars is an initiating force. Mars is of creativity, sexuality, vitality, life force, power and self-expression. Mars stimulates our ability to respond to life with creative assertive action. Mature Mars is of leadership, is self-reliant, and is of victory in our pursuits. Mature Mars is audacious, brave, instinctual, passionate and willful.

The Sun-Mars alignment also marks the mid-point of vision and realization in the 780-day Earth-Mars cycle that began on the Full Moon of January 29, 2010 during the last Mars retrograde. Thus, realizations regarding that cycle's theme express into this lunar cycle. Issues surrounding how we using our creative power to emerge from antiquated patterns, behavior, and ways of participating in the world arise in this lunar cycle. Mars is exalted in sidereal Capricorn, stimulating a mature, pro-active, and independent creative expression in leadership. This can be a volatile lunar cycle, but one stimulating new leadership driven from the laws governing the natural world and that are supportive of all people rather than laws designed to serve special interest groups or a select few.

Mars and Neptune begin a new 1.9-year synodic cycle in early sidereal Aquarius (with Chiron) in this lunar cycle. Prior to this time, from 1995 through 2009 the Mars-Neptune synods occurred in sidereal Capricorn. The Mars-Neptune cycles starting now shift from being driven by personal interest to an inclusive humanitarian expression.

Our stimulus to action First Quarter Moon conjoins newly discovered Sedna, supporting the re-emergence of and action upon the long-suppressed feminine force in the wold. Sedna articulates the “return of the exiled feminine principle.” Sedna’s message is that humanity must recognize the truth about the suppression, persecution, abduction and exploitation of the feminine force in the world; and the mentality perpetuating such must be addressed and changed. Although it is quite obvious of our need for female’s re-emergence and balanced reintegration with the overly dominant patriarchal world, there is still dire hesitancy for such participation due to the often awry, deceptive and exploitative use of creative power by the masculine force in the world. Our Sedna First Quarter Moon adds an interesting dynamic to this lunar month considering our masculine-based (Mars) lunar theme.

The Lunar Nodes align with the Galactic Equatorial Nodes (the Gate of God / Gate of Man of Earth's 25,000-year precessional cross), in this lunar cycle; with the North Lunar Node on the Gate of God at 5° sidereal Sagittarius. This is an 18.6-year occurrence, with the last occurring in mid-1992. Building into and adding to this energetic is Uranus, on the vernal Point at 5° sidereal Pisces, which is square this nodal alignment. Also participant are Venus Juno, the asteroid of covenant partnerships, and newly discovered Makemake, all stimulating action to change in partnerships. A challenge for change also occurs in the administration of resources as well. This lunar-galactic alignment is another significant contributer to the strong acceleration and need to expand that many people are currently feeling in their lives; and it produces a very palpable transition in our experience, both emotionally and physically.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more, the underlying cycles upon which we evolve and which guide our daily lives--based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

January 4, 2011 New Moon Theme
The Totality of Self in Action

The New Moon of January 4 begins the first lunar cycle of 2011. It produces a Partial Solar Eclipse in sidereal Sagittarius, visible in Europe, North Africa and Central Asia. Generally, eclipse lunar cycles mark a time of shifting into a new octave in the lunar spiral of growth. They offer a time to resynchronize ourselves with the ever-changing cosmic currents supporting our evolutionary progression in consciousness. Eclipses generally express for six month periods. Solar eclipses offer opportunity to redefine concepts of self and the roles we play, or how we articulate ourselves in the world. They are about shifting octaves in the nature of our self-perception and self-expression. They often mark a new beginning or way of life, or a new way of participating in life. This Solar eclipse is counter part to the previous Solstice Total Lunar Eclipse, which was about letting go of emotional attachments to ways of participating in the world or with others that no longer server us. This solar eclipse is more about going forward from attachments left behind, with a new sense of self to pursue our ideals, dreams and goals.

The theme of this lunar cycle is defined by the stars: Ascella and Nunki of Sagittarius; Alphecca Meridiana of the Southern Crown; Beta Scutum of the Galactic Shield; and of significant influence is Vega, the Harp Star of Lyra.

Sagittarius is stargate to Galactic Center, commonly referred to as the Zen Archer, or the First Horseman whose arrow points toward Galactic Center. From R. H. Allen (Star Names): Sagittarius is "the Strong One, and Illuminator of the Great City (galactic center); Light of the White Face; and on the stones of Sippara (the Sepharvaim of the Old Testament)--a solar city Sagittarius, 'appears sculptured in full glory.'"

The First Horseman, our Sagittarian Centaur, is where the first and highest spiritual light is found, our Galactic City of Light, and is responsible for the higher spiritual education of all intelligent life on Earth. Overhead is the constellation Scutum, Galactic shield of Earth's precessional Holy Cross, which is emblazoned with the symbol of Earth's Precessional Cross. Sagittarius is supreme defender of the High Truth of the Holy Cross--of the spiritual fulfillment of humankind--one who is willing to live, fight, and die for this Truth.

Sagittarius is the Spiritual Warrior. On a personal level, Sagittarius inspires action to live our deeper inner truths, to express that truth through an undaunted Zen focus to hit our target, to achieve our highest ideals and dreams. The Sagittarian Archer is self-taught, of spiritual wisdom gained through raw experience. Sagittarius is the sanguine inspirationalist, of lofty vision and higher ideals. This Lunar Cycle embodies the pure and total potential of the archer applied through focused demonstrable action.

A primary shift occurs in this lunar cycle as the very tight aspects between Jupiter, Uranus, Makemake, Neptune and Chiron now start to diverge, creating a refreshing sense of emergence from what has been a rather heavy period that began in mid-2008, and which had spawned the last few years of financial upheaval.

Jupiter and Uranus make their third and final conjunction opposite Juno, asteroid of covenant partnerships, and Makemake, one of our recently discovered planets. The Jupiter-Uranus conjunction marks the mobilization and expansion of opportunity for those willing to make radical or spontaneous change. Juno's retrograde conjoining Makemake may herald a change in partnerships, especially involving financial matters and their management.

Venus and Juno also begin a new several-month synodic cycle in fiery sidereal Leo and under the auspices of Alioth of the Great Bear--birthing a dynamic new cycle of action for personal relationships and financial partnerships.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more, the underlying cycles upon which we evolve and which guide our daily lives--based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

December 5, 2010 New Moon Theme
Self Mastery, Personal Responsibility & Passageways of Change

The New Moon of December 5 begins the last lunar cycle of 2010. Conjoining the Centaur Pholus, the New Moon resides in sidereal Scorpio and the constellation of Ophiuchus. It conjoins Sarin, the shoulder of Hercules and Restaban of Draco, eye of the Dragon. This area of the zodiak is about self mastery and being personally responsible for our freedom and well-being, and aiding others in their pursuit of the same.

Several events occur in this lunar cycle, including a Mercury Retrograde and the start of a new 116-day Earth Mercury synodic cycle, with a theme defined by the stars in early sidereal Gemini. Juno, asteroid of colleagues, partnerships and mutual cooperation, opposes Jupiter and Uranus, which are about to make their final conjunction on the following New Moon. Juno will also conjoin Makemake, one of our newly discovered planets, bringing attention to the administration of resources in partnerships.

The Full Moon, occurring on the December 21, 2010 Solstice, produces a Total Solar Eclipse in early sidereal Gemini, on the "Gate of Man" of Earth's Precessional Cross; conjoining Betelgeuse of Orion and Menkalinan of Auriga. The eclipse is visible throughout North America and western South America. Our Solstice Full Moon Eclipse also creates a dynamic Grand Square with Juno opposite Jupiter-Uranus. The entire Solstice Grand Square Total Eclipse Full Moon creates a primary activation of Earth's Precessional Cross--our sacred geometry of evolutionary change. This produces a dynamic and potent passageway--a challenge for radical action to change and shift into a new octave of experience--especially regarding relationships and partnerships of all types.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more, the underlying cycles upon which we evolve and which guide our daily lives--based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

November 6, 2010 New Moon Theme
Fulfillment or Entrapment
The Power of Pure Intent

Our New Moon of November 6, 2010 (GMT) occurs in sidereal Libra and conjoins the asteroid Vesta. The New Moon stars are Acrux and The Jewel Box star cluster of the Southern Cross; Alphecca of the Northern Crown; and Zubenelgenubi of Libra, one of the scales of the balance, which is also the southern claw of the Scorpion. The New Moon lies just in front of the Scorpion's clutches, between the claws and the feet of the Virgin. This is a point of opportunity in sidereal Libra--to choose a path from a greater clarity within, from the power of pure intent and an unadulterated sense of purpose, which leads to our greater fulfillment, or to step forth into the same ole' patterns of the past--entrapped. Vesta, the astroid of focus dedication and commitment, invites us to get clear and focused within self.

Venus and Jupiter both complete their retrogrades on the Gibbous Moon of this lunar cycle. Venus now fully engages its new Earth-Venus 584-day synodic cycle, which began in the previous lunar month. Jupiter returning direct engages the new Earth-Jupiter-Uranus Synodic Synchronization that began on the September equinox. Both events should bring a welcomed sense of movement in our lives. Venus retrogrades and the key trigger points surrounding it cause key shifts in the financial world--such as the Venus stations and two-week 3° orb following Venus's direct station; often tied in with and triggered by Mercury's nearby retrograde. Venus' financial influence is well known in astrological market forcasting.

Mars, a key player in this lunar cycle (along with Mercury), moves through sidereal Scorpio, conjoining Pallas, the Centaur Phoulus, Ixion and Quaoar (two recently discovered planets). Mars will also begin a new 694-day synodic cycle with Pluto.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more, the underlying cycles upon which we evolve and which guide our daily lives--based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

October 7, 2010 New Moon Theme
Messages from the World Around Us
& the New Venus Synodic Cycle

Our New Moon of October 7, 2010 occurs in sidereal Virgo and conjoins the stars of Corvus, nature's Messenger Raven. Also conjoining is Beta Hydra and Beta Volans. This is also the zodiacal longitude of Jupiter's perihelion and Eris' perihelion (the locations in their orbits when they are closest to the Sun and Earth). This area of the Virgin brings our attention to the guiding messages expressing through the natural world around us, and our need to heed those messages.

Venus begins its several week retrograde immediately following the New Moon, during which a new 584-day Earth-Venus synodic cycle begins--occurring on the Last Quarter Moon. The next Venus synod will occur in June 2012 and will produce the second Venus Transit--the first transit occurred in June of 2004. The stars in early sidereal Aries--those of Cassiopeia and Cepheus--define the theme of our new Earth-Venus cycle. This entire several week retrograde may begin to catalyze a shift in our financial paradigm--perhaps a fresh start. Venus completes its retrograde on November 18, 2010, in the following lunar cycle. Jupiter also competes its retrograde at the same time, both of which create a new current of movement and expansion that should fully engage in early 2011, as Jupiter makes its final conjunction with Uranus.

Uranus and Makemake (pronounced MAH-keh MAH-keh), one of our new discovered Dwarf Planets, enter into a very tight orb in their long-standing opposition that began in the fall of 2008, also on the Last Quarter Moon. This tight orb will continue into early 2011, when their opposition completes, which occurs at the same time that Jupiter and Uranus make their final conjunction. This opposition has been a principal factor in the timeline of events occurring over the last few years, especially regarding the restructuring of our financial paradigm and its administration. This lunar cycle, along with the Venus retrograde begins the transition into the grand finale of the 2008-2011 timeline involving Saturn-Makemake in opposition to Uranus-Jupiter and square Pluto.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more, based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

September 8, 2010 New Moon Theme
Creative Energy Must Express &
The Earth-Jupiter-Uranus Synodic Synchronization

Our New Moon of September 8, 2010 occurs in sidereal Leo and conjoins fiery and expressive Mizar of the Great Bear (Ursa Major), with adjoining Alcor, also of the Bear; and a dynamic Seyfert Galaxy in Canes Venatici. This is a windy and fiery area of the zodiak, one that can stimulate dynamic creative expression. Mizar of the Great Bear, the overseeing and predominant star, articulates raw fiery energy that must express one way or another. Mizar must have a creative outlet, but for its proper expression, we must apply it with creative vision. Mizar brings attention to use of our creative energies; creative and destructive tendencies, and the fear to create lest it may result in destruction. Here we learn the nature of such volatile forces. Mizar, with averted alignments is also known for catastrophic fires or massacres. Mizar can however express quite artistically--just as gunpowder can express as beautiful fireworks or devastating explosions. The expression of Mizar tends to express in a grand way, in character with showy and dramatic Leo.

This lunar cycle may stimulate expansive, radical, and perhaps spontaneous change. It should shift the emphasis from what has been a challenging and strenuous time to one of refreshing movement and expansion.

This lunar cycle also embodies the "Earth-Jupiter-Uranus Synodic Synchronization" (the alignment of the Sun, Earth, Jupiter, and Uranus). Jupiter and Uranus began their (geocentric) conjunction in June of 2010 and which continues into January of 2011. The Jupiter-Uranus synodic (heliocentric) conjunction, occurring now, in September, marks the ending of the previous 13.5-year Jupiter-Uranus synodic cycle, which began in March of 1997. It also marks the beginning of a new 13.5-year cycle, with an entirely new theme. Earth's coincident alignment with Jupiter and Uranus marks the start of a new Earth-Jupiter 400-day synodic cycle and the start of a new 370-day Earth-Uranus synodic cycle.

The coincidence of these three events creates a primary shift in our current planetary timeline--in the tone of the expression and unfoldment of human consciousness; and in the evolutionary events occurring in our lives and in our world. The star alignments of this planetary alignment, occurring in early sidereal Pisces, set the theme of these three new synchronized synodic cycles, which is especially significant for the new Jupiter-Uranus 13.5 year cycle ahead. This planetary alignment surrounds the Equinox Full Moon, which also conjoins Jupiter and Uranus, with the Sun and Moon residing exactly on the Earth's Precessional Cross--all promoting a dynamic and revelatory shift in the evolutionary currents upon which we ride.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this dynamic and welcomed lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more, based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

Mobilizing a New Future: The Jupiter-Pluto-Saturn T-square

Our New Moon of Aug 10, 2010 GMT (Aug 9 MST) occurs in sidereal Cancer. Cancer, commonly the crab today, is also the Egyptian Scarabaeus, an image that articulates the theme of humanity's emergence from darkness, dogma, and delusion and the reawakening back to light. The Scarab is an appropriate mythical figure, as no one knows the exact time of the emergence of the beetle from its snuggle in its own dung, because it does not seem to follow any natural cycle in nature. This theme also applies to our individual emergence from the family nest or from the collective consciousness that we co-create.

The New Moon stars setting the theme of this Lunar cycle are Acubens of Cancer; Zeta Hydra (the head of Hydra); Dubhe of Ursa Major (the primary star of the Great Bear); Naos of Argo Navis; and Merak of Ursa Major. Sidereal Cancer is about humanity's gestation and emergence process. The individual stars of Cancer articulate the nuances of this process. In particular, this area of sidereal Cancer is about the emergence from collective and personal dogmas (belief structures), as well as from our limiting or undermining life patterns that keep us bound in life scenarios that are less than those we truly want. This precedes action to break new trail in our lives so as to move in the direction we seek to go.

The Grand Jupiter-Pluto-Saturn T-square culminates in this lunar cycle. This principal planetary configuration began to form as Jupiter and Pluto created their square in the previous lunar cycle. Now in this lunar cycle, Saturn joins in to perfectly oppose Jupiter and square Pluto, creating this potent T-square. T-squares stimulate dynamic action; and this one marks a primary turning from what had been the last few years of stasis, stalemate and a feeling of suppression and limitation (dominated by massive Saturn), and now shifts in to a period of mobilization and expansion of radical change (due to the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction and the Jupiter-Pluto square). The Jupiter-Uranus synthesis also forms an energetic supportive of expanded creative thought and new discoveries, whpecially in the arts and sciences.

This lunar cycle's Crescent Moon produces wonderful sunset stellar show, with the Crescent Moon, Venus, Mars and Saturn synthesizing in the heavens, along with the Perseid meteor shower following (peaking between August 11th and 13th), which occurs when Earth passes through the tail of comet Swift-Tuttle. The Perseids are so named because these sparks of light emerge from the constellation Perseus, our dynamic hero--providing a message regarding the type of action required in this potent and transformational lunar cycle.

The Full Moon of this lunar cycle occurs in sidereal Aquarius, conjoining Enif of Pegasus, while the Sun conjoins recently discovered Orcus and the star Regulus of Leo, the heart or essence of the Lion, offering a significant revelation. Our Disseminating Moon conjoins Revati of Pisces and Eris, the Great Disruptor, suggesting money and resources may play a significant role in this lunar cycle. Mercury begins its retrograde in this Lunar Cycle as well, during which a new 116-day Earth-Mercury humanitarian-focused synodic cycle will begin.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this very dynamic lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more, based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology

July 11, 2010 New Moon Theme
Cooperation & Co-participation For Solution

Our New Moon of July 11, 2010 produces a Total Solar Eclipse occurring in late sidereal Gemini and which conjoins Castor of the Gemini Twins. The path of totality crosses Easter Island in the South Pacific.

"The Twins" are marked by the two principal stars: Pollux, the immortal extraterrestrial one, and Castor the mortal terrestrial one, the extraterrestrial incarnate. These two stars, which mark the Twins' heads, lie in the last few degrees of sidereal Gemini. The Twins stand upon the galactic equator at a 60° angle to the ecliptic plane, with the "Feet of the Twins" lying in earlier Gemini, upon the "Gate of Man". Thus, Gemini is a galactic constellation and an ecliptical constellation, which inspires the expression of sol / soul purpose through the daily activity of humankind--the theme of the Gate of Man. Sidereal Gemini is of high intensity intellectual communication, information, commerce, goods and services, and of their exchange. Castor is the liaison in the world of daily human affairs, and is of partnerships and cooperation. Castor brings resources and people together that serve to get logistics accomplished in the world of business and commerce.

This New Moon Eclipse also conjoins Juno, asteroid of partnerships and interrelating, and the recently discovered planet Varuna.

This Lunar Month and the following are of extreme significance due to the Grand Jupiter-Pluto-Saturn T-square. This is a powerhouse planetary configuration that begins early in this lunar cycle with Jupiter and Pluto maintaining a perfect square for a few weeks. It extends into the following lunar cycle, at which time Saturn joins in to create the potent Grand T-square. The T-square continues for several days leading into the following Full Moon in mid-August. This two-month event will create a major turning in our current few-year planetary timeline, and in our life experience on Earth.

Stimulating Mars moves into position to create a T-square with Jupiter and Pluto in this lunar cycle, on the Last Quarter Moon, which precedes the Grand T-square of August. This entire time (now through August) may seem similar to a "healing crisis," during which we will be shot through a portal into a new octave of experience.

The fifth and final Saturn-Uranus opposition also occurs in this lunar cycle, during the Jupiter-Pluto square. The Saturn-Uranus opposition began on November 4, 2008. Dynamic Mars will act as a primary trigger to the Saturn-Uranus opposition as well as to the Jupiter-Pluto square. This entire several-week event creates a primary shift in our current few-year timeline of planetary cycles; during which the emphasis will shift from Saturn's restrictive and oppressive nature (in opposition to Uranus) to the expansive and mobilizing nature of Jupiter (in conjunction with Uranus), which continues into early 2011.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this very dynamic lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more, based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

June 12, 2010 New Moon Theme
Stimulus for Bold Individualistic Action

This New Moon occurs in late sidereal Taurus, conjoining Bellatrix of Orion, the female warrior; Capella, the messenger of light of Auriga, the charioteer; the stars Alpha and Beta of the Camel, a constellation lying north of Taurus; the energetic star AE Auriga in the Flaming Star Nebula, also of the charioteer; and several others. This is an area of zodiak inspiring enterprising execution of grand physical projects, ventures, and strategies. It is of all that supports our physical well-being and sustenance. It produces an energetic not of the timid, but of those with purpose and headstrong desire for enterprising solution and which brings good through commerce and business affairs.

The First Quarter Moon, which brings "stimulus to action" in a lunar cycle, creates a powerful and dynamic Grand Square with the Jupiter-Uranus opposition to Saturn, and Ceres. Jupiter began its several month opposition to Saturn and its several month conjunction with Uranus in the previous lunar cycle. Jupiter's prominent arrival into the few-year timeline of aspects involving Saturn, Makemake, Uranus and Pluto, brings a tremendous shift in our current planetary timeline--in essence, mobilizing and expanding upon the radical changes already occurring in our lives. Jupiter's mobilizing influence is a welcomed occurrence. This stimulus to action First Quarter Moon Grand Square, nesting in our Taurus-Orion-Auriga lunar theme, brings tremendous impetus for ambitious, adventurous, radical, and dynamic all-embracing physical action.

The Full Moon Eclipse of June 25, brings another significant shift, as the Full Moon conjoins Pluto in sidereal Sagittarius, upon the hand and bow of the Zen Archer. The planetary alignment is Sun-Earth-Moon-Pluto, which also marks the start of the next Earth-Pluto 367-day (synodic) cycle. This is also the exalted location for radical and dynamic Uranus--all bringing revelation to the nature of this lunar cycle's theme.

This Pluto Full Moon Eclipse marks entry into a very potent turning point in our planetary cycles, created by upcoming Jupiter-Pluto-Saturn T-square, which starts to form and which will fully engage in following lunar cycle and peak in August 2010. This upcoming intensification will create a crisis point in the world and in our lives, much like a "healing crisis." However, as we emerge from it, and continue into early 2011, we should experience a welcomed and refreshing expansion in consciousness and positive turning in the events of our lives.

Venus and Mars begin a new 317-day (synodic) cycle in this lunar cycle in sidereal Virgo, bringing us good advice considering our current tumultuous ride and unpredictable experience over the months ahead.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and what they mean in our lives, based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

May 14, 2010 New Moon Theme
Evolutionary Acceleration & Expansion of Radical Change

This New Moon occurs in the last couple degrees of sidereal Aries, and conjoins Sedna, one of our newly discovered minor planets. This part of the heavens lies under the auspices of the story of the Royal Family. This is where princess Andromeda's fate is now out of the hands of King Cepheus and Queen Cassiopeia and is being transferred to what seems to be nothing but fate. Perseus, her beloved, is about to slay Medusa in order to claim his self-mastery, a prerequisite to step into his intended soul destiny, while Andromeda is now chained to the rocks by the sea, about to be devoured by Cetus the sea monster (the technobureaucratic monster created by collective human consciousness). Tension and anticipation mounts. Perseus must slay Medusa (his inner fears), lest he will turn to stone (become frozen in fear) before he can aid his beloved Andromeda. The New Moon stars are Zaurak and Rana of Eridanus, and Botein of Aries. Zaurak marks a point of pause along the River of Life. Here we must trust our inner heart light and intuition, regain our strength, and follow through despite the path may not be entirely visible, even tumultuous. Overall, this location in the ecliptic is of a regenerative nature--primal, creative and inventive; but it can also be volatile, quickly eruptive or explosive.

Mars and newly discovered Makemake begin a new 1.9-year (synodic) cycle. Makemake continues to play a very prominent role in the ongoing global financial restructuring. In fact, it was just after the Last Quarter Moon of the previous lunar cycle when Jupiter made its first of three oppositions to Makemake. This was May 5-6, when Europe’s failure to contain Greece’s fiscal crisis triggered a 4.3 percent drop in the euro. This was the biggest weekly decline since October of 2008, when the long-standing aspects involving the Uranus opposition to Makemake and Saturn began. Mars and Saturn will also begin a new 2-year (synodic cycle) a bit later in this lunar cycle, with both cycles inspiring a new dynamic of responsible and administrative creative action.

Massive Jupiter begins its several month opposition to Saturn and its several month conjunction with Uranus in this lunar cycle. Jupiter's prominent arrival into the few-year timeline of aspects involving Saturn, Makemake, Uranus and Pluto, brings a tremendous shift in this timeline. The Jupiter-Uranus synthesis will mobilize, magnify and expand upon the radical changes already occurring in our lives. Jupiter-Saturn oppositions are generally quite potent, especially if they occur within orb to Earth's Precessional Cross, which this one does (and especially with Jupiter conjoining Uranus at the same time). For example, there were three major New Madrid Earthquakes occurring between mid-December 1811 and early-February 1812 estimated to be 7.5 to 7.7 in magnitude, all with several major aftershocks. At the time, Saturn and Jupiter were in opposition, and within a critical orb to Earth's Precessional Cross. Saturn was exactly on the Gate of God (GEN) of the precessional cross on the December 16 quake (with a 7.0 aftershock); and Jupiter was exactly on the Gate of Man of the precessional cross at the time of the second two quakes of January 23 and February 7. This is not to say our current opposition will produce major seismicity, although quite possible. We can however expect a massive and unexpected turn of events that certainly can be of beneficent nature in the long run, even if not appearing so at the onset. Although not on Earth's precessional cross, the previous Jupiter-Saturn opposition in 1989 produced two major events: The Loma Prieta (San Francisco) Earthquake, which occurred on October 17, 1989 during the Saturn-Jupiter opposition. It was triggered by a Mercury-Jupiter-Saturn T-square. The Berlin Wall was opened in November of the same year, triggered by Venus (and Uranus) in primary aspect to the Jupiter-Saturn opposition.

The regenerative tone of our New Moon theme, with need to hold our own inner light and follow our intuition, is apropos, as things are about to rock and roll. This lunar month invites us to gather our energy for the impending acceleration and expansion, and to apply it with dynamic creative action in leadership. Jupiter's standoff to Saturn and arrival to join Uranus may catalyze some intense experience. However, Jupiter's arrival is quite welcomed, one that ultimately will yield a very progressive mobilization of long awaited change--especially after we move through the August crisis point, stimulated by the upcoming Jupiter-Pluto-Saturn T-square. From then onward, and into early 2011, we will refreshingly emerge from the current long-standing set of intense planetary aspects that began in late 2008.

April 14, 2010 New Moon Theme
Relinquishment for Attainment
Redefining Logistics

This New Moon occurs on the cusp of sidereal Aries, and conjoins Acamar of Eridanus, one of several stopping points along the river of life; Al Kurah, the heart of King Cepheus; the stars forming the eastern or ascending fish of Pisces; and the Quasar 3C57 in the belly of ole' Cetus, the technobureaucratic monster of collective human consciousness. The theme of these stars, in part, motivate a desire to move forward, to attain, but to do so we must first release any residual emotional baggage or bring to completion any limiting patterns of the past.

Mercury begins and completes its retrograde in this lunar cycle, generally providing an opportunity to re-define logistics in our lives, to renegotiate, and to form new plans and strategies. Earth and Mercury begin a new 116-day (synodic) cycle in the midst of Mercury's retrograde, on the Full Moon. The new Earth-Mercury cycle's theme is defined by the stars of mid-sidereal Libra, including the stars of the Southern Cross and the Centaurus-A galaxy, a deep reflective pool of consciousness. Mars is playing a key role in the progressive acceleration for 2010, motivating clarity and integrity applied in dynamic action.

Most significantly, Saturn and Uranus make the fourth of their five oppositions just before the Full Moon of this lunar cycle. Thus we will feel another catalytic squeeze as they approach this opposition. This event also marks entry into a very dynamic and transitional four-month period occurring in 2010. Saturn, Uranus and Makemake (pronounced MAH-keh MAH-keh) (one of our newly discovered and very significant planets) have been playing a significant role in the ongoing global financial restructuring. Uranus began its opposition to Saturn (and Makemake) on November 4, 2008. Saturn will soon move out of its prominent role in our current timeline as mobilizing and expansive Jupiter takes over and begins its several month conjunction with Uranus, which begins in the following lunar cycle. The shift in emphasis from Saturn to Jupiter will catalyze a massive transition in this few year timeline; and a potent grand Jupiter-Pluto-Saturn T-square, occurring in July and August, will hallmark the climax of this transition. Makemake will continue to play a prominent role along with Jupiter and Uranus through early 2011.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more, based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

Dreams & Visions - Our Bridge into the Future

This New Moon conjoins Mercury and Uranus, which lie opposite Makemake, one of our recently discovered planets (pronounced MAH-keh MAH-keh). Our New Moon planetary alignment is Uranus-Mercury-Sun-Moon-Earth-Makemake. This also marks the start of a new 367-day Earth-Makemake (synodic) cycle. Makemake plays a key role in the planetary cycles timeline that began in late 2008 and that continues through early 2011. It is part of the catalyst behind the restructuring of our world paradigm--particularly regarding the administration of resources and exposure of the manipulation of resources in government-big business and banking. The Sun-Mercury-Uranus alignment also marks the mid-point of vision and realization in the current 370-day Earth-Uranus cycle that began in mid-September 2009; the mid-point of vision and realization in the current 116-day Earth-Mercury cycle; and the start of a new Mercury-Uranus cycle; all stimulating a dynamic lunar month of welcomed but perhaps unexpected and radical change.

This Mercury-Uranus New Moon occurs on the cusp of sidereal Pisces, which is marked by "the circlet" of stars that mark the head of the western fish and the star Matar on the left forearm of Pegasus, which lies north of the circlet. Matar is from Al Sa'd al Matar, which means "the Fortunate Rain, and articulates movement from high-mental and social activity of later sidereal Aquarius into the wet, sensual, emotional, psychic and amorphous world of sidereal Pisces.

The Mercury-Uranus New Moon conjunction adds a significant dynamic to this lunar cycle's theme, as does the new Earth-Makemake synodic cycles theme, which is defined by the cuspal stars of sidereal Virgo. The Mercury-Uranus New Moon invites the expression of unconventional, original and inventive thought and concepts. It stimulates the unexpected and spontaneous; and its placement on the Piscian sidereal cusp invites us to trust in the intuitive and abstract--in essence, producing a mind-expanding lunar cycle. The new Earth-Makemake cycle theme, also a part of this lunar cycle's theme, may invite new and radical ideas regarding the administration of financial resources, as well as motivating audacious action to pursue those ideas.

On the Equinox (March 20), a new 378-day Earth-Saturn cycle begins. It also aspects Mars and the mother asteroid Ceres. Mars recently completed its retrograde, and now in this lunar cycle, stimulates movement and action once again, after a few months of what may have seemed in stasis. Hold on and let go as we now accelerate for year of dynamic and refreshing change. Attention turns toward dynamic and nurturing action.

The Full Moon occurs at the end of March in mid-sidereal Virgo, conjoining the star Diadam, the Crown or Halo of the Virgin; Porrima and Vindemiatrix, both of Virgo; and the stars of Corvus, the Raven messenger. This is also Mercury's exalted location in the zodiak as well as the location of Chrion's perihelion (the location in Chiron's orbit that is closest to the Sun). This is a place of prophetic neurological awareness and communication that invites astute attention to the signs occurring in the natural world around us; signs demanding prompt response or a loss of opportunity. Earth and Haumea, another newly discovered planet, begin a new 366-day (synodic) cycle, also under the auspice of the stars of Virgo and the Virgin's consort and protector Boötes. Haumea supports a new birth in consciousness.

The Sun conjoins Eris, the great disrupter, bringing revelation to the reasons behind any set-backs that we may have experienced over the last several months. Eris tends to open us to greater possibilities and realms of awareness.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more, based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

Dreams & Visions - Our Bridge into the Future

This New Moon conjoins Neptune and the Centaur Chiron exactly on the cusp of sidereal Aquarius. The cuspal stars of sidereal Aquarius along with Chiron and Neptune set the theme of this lunar month. Sadr of Cygnus, the heart of the Swan, marks the Aquarian cusp along with the beautiful Lacework Nebula, which lies upon the wing of the Cygnus. This marks the start of the revolutionary, visionary and humanitarian facet of the zodiak. Chiron and Neptune have been conjoining for several months, and now, in this lunar cycle, they will begin their new ~85-year (synodic) cycle, with the same theme as this lunar cycle's. The Chiron-Neptune synthesis, in part, inspires us to create entirely new revolutionary and visionary alternatives to cross the vast abyss we may currently face in our lives--to create a new world paradigm.

Juno, the asteroid of covenant relations and mutual equality, begins a new ~4.4-year (synodic) cycle with Sedna, a recently discovered and distant minor planet. This occurs on the New Moon as well. Sedna embodies the essence of the feminine principle's long-standing suppression into the depths of collective consciousness, and our need for the feminine essence to re-emerge as an equal and active participant in the global arena. The stars in late sidereal Aries define the theme of this cycle--an energetically eruptive area of the zodiak, but also of a regenerative nature, where we build momentum for a new expression, one that must emerge.

Mercury plays a catalytic role in this lunar cycle as it triggers new shorter-term cycles with several planets, including Pluto, the Centaur Nessus, Chiron and Neptune, Jupiter and Uranus. Mercury's role in this lunar cycle, stimulates movement in the logistical aspects of our lives; and especially stimulates the new Chiron-Neptune theme.

Venus and Uranus also begin a new 227-day synodic cycle on the cusp of the wet, sensual, emotional, psychic and amorphous world of sidereal Pisces, the first of many Venus-Uranus synods to occur in sidereal Pisces, and on the stimulus to action First Quarter Moon. In general, Venus and Uranus inspire new explorations and expressions of the heart, and in relationships; and also new ways for creating richness in our lives.

A Jupiter-Sun Full Moon produces revelations about the current Earth-Jupiter cycle that began on August 14, 2009 in a fortuitous area of late sidereal Capricorn--defined by the star Nashira of Capricorn, and the stars of Delphinus and Guis. The Full Moon itself occurs in mid-sidereal Leo; while Jupiter (and the Sun) reside in mid-sidereal Aquarius, the angel point of the zodiak, as Jupiter makes its way from its recent conjunction with Chiron and Neptune, to prominently conjoin Uranus, which begins in early June and will continue into early 2011.

Most significantly, Mars completes its retrograde in this lunar cycle, on March 10, which brings an end to what may have seemed like a sluggish past three-month period. This marks the full commencement of the new and significant 780-day Earth-Mars synodic cycle, defined by the stars of mid-sidereal Cancer. This new Mars cycle inspires assertive and expansive creative action to help us emerge from the behavioral patterns and antiquated beliefs of the past that keep us buried in darkness or delusion. It inspires us to have the tenacity to overcome and to emerge into a new light of being. This Earth-Mars cycle will continue through March 3, 2012, into our next Mars retrograde.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle. The Monthly Lunar Planner explores the details of these events and more, based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

Manifesting Passions of the Heart

Unlike the last few lunar cycles which may have seemed a bit intense, and leaving us with a feeling of uncertainty, this lunar cycle and the next will be more progressive, restoring a sense of movement with optimism for the future. This New Moon, an Annular Solar Eclipse, occurs exactly on the cusp of sidereal Sagittarius-Capricorn. It also conjoins Venus, which also marks the mid-point of vision and realization in the current 584-day Earth-Venus cycle; and it occurs during Mercury's direct station (the completion of Mercury's retrograde). Cuspal sidereal Sagittarius-Capricorn is where we are faced with concretizing our visions and ideals (common to late Sagittarius and overseeing Lyra) into demonstrable and practical form in the physical world. Alpha Pavo, the Peacock, sums up the last degree of sidereal Sagittarius, fully radiant in its multi-colored spectrum of vision and ideals, proudly displays all that it is and brings inspiration to express the beauty that we are and that we truly envision. Here on the cusp, we find soul-level support provided by Eta Mensa (of Table Mountain) to now actualize that eloquence. We are also faced with addressing the inherent aberrations or distortions that occur when applying our ideals into practical demonstrable and physical form, revealed by a Planetary Nebula and Irregular Galaxy of Sagittarius, which reach just over the cusp into sidereal Capricorn. Two pulsars in northern Vulpecula, the elegant, but sly and cunning fox, aid us and warn us when applying the lofty ideals of the Sagittarian Zen archer into physical form.

Venus will start a new (synodic) cycles with Chiron, Neptune, and Jupiter in this lunar cycle, These are the first Venus cycles occurring with these planets after our recent Jupiter-Neptune-Chiron conjunction occurring in 2009.

Mars, currently retrograde, will begin a new and significant Earth-Mars 780-day (synodic) cycle when the Sun, Earth and Mars align on the Full Moon eve of January 29, 2010. This cycle's theme is defined by the star alignments looking from the Sun toward Earth and Mars, which occurs in the center of sidereal Cancer. Mars will complete its retrograde on March 10, 2010, in the following lunar cycle, at which time we will fully engage in the new Earth-Mars synodic cycle. During its retrograde, Mars also aspects the already occurring Saturn-Pluto square along with Jupiter, all occurring later in this lunar cycle. In a several day process, Jupiter, Pluto, Saturn and Mars create two interlocking Yods. One places a direct focus onto Mars and the new Mars synodic cycle. The other emphasis is placed upon Jupiter.

Saturn and Pluto have maintained a very tight square since the Saturn-Pluto square began in mid-November 2009 through the second conjunction occurring on January 31, 2010. As we emerge from the second Saturn-Pluto square, and the interlocking Yods (Finger of God) occur with Mars and Jupiter, we are motivated to initiate expansive action. This movement however does not occur on its own. It is up to us to creatively make this move from what may seem like a motionless and undefined opening (occurring throughout late December and January).

This entire Mars retrograde period and the interlocking Yods play a key role in establishing a new focus in the application of our creative power in the world.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle, one that engages a dynamic and transformative new year. The Lunar Planner explores the details of the events occurring in each lunar cycle, based in star-level astronomical astrology and synodic astrology.

December 16, 2009 New Moon Theme
Transmutation & the Sting of the Scorpion

This New Moon, the last of 2009, occurs at the sting of the Scorpion, which enters the zodiak at the sidereal Scorpio-Sagittarius cusp, and which lies over the Altar of the Centaur. Venom from the sting of the Scorpion--the often harsh but required lessons incurred while incarnate--dripping upon the Centaur's altar, serves as our required transmutational elixir. Here we have opportunity to unconditionally embrace our harsh lessons in life, and in doing so, transmute them into true wisdom integrated into our neurology, a prerequisite to graduate into a higher office, that is, into the next and more accelerated cycle of experience.

On the December Solstice, Jupiter and Neptune will make their third and final conjunction, with the Moon conjoining this event as well. This fully engages our new 12.7-year Jupiter-Neptune cycle. This third conjunction creates the motivation to mobilize and expand upon the visions and ideals we have been formulating over these last several months.

The Grand Finale in the "Restructing of Relationships"

Also in this lunar cycle, and toward the end of 2009, we will experience a grand finale event in the recent several-month period of "restructuring of relationships"--a radical transition that has been occurring in relationships of all types, those of a personal nature, and those of business and political partnerships. The grand finale occurs due to a dynamic T-square created by the asteroid Juno and the already occurring Saturn-Pluto square, which recently began in November 2009. The T-square will be initially triggered on the First Quarter Moon as the Sun conjoins Pluto and the Moon conjoins Juno opposite Saturn. This will create a dynamic "external stimulus to action." The T-square will continue through the Gibbous Moon as Venus conjoins Pluto, and then through the Full Moon eclipse of December 31 and into the "day of realization," which occurs just after the Full Moon, on January 1, 2010. A "T-square" is like a cross-bow, one that must fire. In this case it is Pluto that is firing right through the already occurring "restructuring of relationships." This finale creates an opening, one that demands we let go and live true to heart. With this heart-driven momentum, relationships will then move into a new octave of experience. Some will end, while others, more appropriate for the future, will begin; and some may just transform into a new octave of experience.

This Full Moon will be extra dynamic, not only due to the coinciding planetary alignments and the lunar eclipse, but also because it occurs within hours of the Lunar Perigee (when the Moon is closest to the Earth during its orbit around the Earth). On every Full Moon, the Moon becomes extra charged because it passes through Earth's Magnetotail, which is formed by the solar wind blowing against Earth's magnetic sphere. This Full Moon will be even more submersed in Earth's magnetic force. It will also make for an extra-ordinarily large and beautiful Full Moon eclipse, especially as the Moon rises in the east at sunset. In addition, this Full Moon eclipse also occurs within a few days of Earth's perihelion (Jan 3) (when the Earth is closest to the Sun in its annual orbit)--a time when Earth is closest to the Solar Fire. Thus, the Moon is extra close to the Earth while the Earth is extra close to the Sun. Lunar eclipses, in general, offer an emotional and experiential fresh start, and this is certainly fitting for the Juno-Pluto-Saturn grand finale T-square effecting relationships.

Mercury and Earth begin an extra significant 116-day synodic cycle defined by the very principle stars, Sirius of Canis Major, and Canopus of Argo Navis. Sirius is the great world teacher and often portends events of a global proportion. Canopus, the helmsman of the Argo, directs such affairs and sets our evolutionary course.

The Dwarf Planet Eris, the great disruptor, and which is larger than Pluto, maintains a principle T-square with the Lunar Nodes throughout that latter part of this lunar cycle. Slow moving Eris resides in belly of ole Cetus, and conjoins Revati of Pisces and Baten Kaitos of Cetus--very much an active force in our global economic upheaval.

These are just a few of many events occurring in this lunar cycle, one that leads us into a dynamic and transformative new year.

November 16, 2009 New Moon Theme
Spiritual Mastery of Primal Forces

This New Moon occurs on the cups of sidereal Scorpio, nesting within the clutches of the Scorpion and approaching the Scorpion's head. It conjoins several potent stars including Beta Centauri, and the Nuclear Galaxy AP Libra.

The theme in this few degree band of the zodiak is about doing what ever it takes in assertive physical action to claim our mastery over the powerful forces governing life and death; to ensure our evolutionary freedom from perpetual entrapment in these forces. It demands that we mature in consciousness and take responsibility for our lives and for any entrapments in which we may find ourselves.

This is an intense lunar cycle, one that kicks off a potent year ahead, yet it leads us eloquently through a positive transmutational process. In this lunar cycle, we enter the start of the Saturn-Pluto Square, which continues through August 21, 2010. The first trigger to this square began the day before this New Moon, on November 15, 2009. From this time through the second trigger of three, which occurs on January 31, 2009, Saturn and Pluto maintain a very tight orb, of about 1°. This creates a very potent and relentless aspect--one demanding profound "change" in the very structure of consciousness.

The Gibbous Moon, which starts the pollinating lunar phase, conjoins Eris, while at the same time Juno, the asteroid of relationships and relating, begins a new many-year (synodic) cycle with Eris. Eris, a newly discovered planet is the "great disruptor." Eris, larger than Pluto, was responsible for the entire reclassification of planets and the formation of the new Dwarf Planet category to which Pluto now belongs. Eris forced us to relinquish limiting construct about our reality and to embrace our rapidly expanding consciousness.

As the Sun moves through the Scorpion, and under the auspices of Ophiuchus throughout this lunar cycle, it will conjoin Pholus, Ixion and Quaoar, all of which reside in sidereal Scorpio. This will provide opportunity to learn more about the nature of these newly discovered forces in our lives; and gain more insight into issues surrounding use of power.

Uranus, currently in opposition to Saturn and Makemake, completes its retrograde in this lunar cycle just before the Full Moon. The Full Moon conjoins Aldebaran, the Eye of the Bull, which marks the center of sidereal Taurus, and which reveals the purpose of this lunar cycle. Uranus' direct station marks the time for radical change to accelerate in our yearly cycle, a time to break away from the conforming bounds of that past; and it catalyzes another shift in our very dynamic few-year timeline.

Jupiter and Chiron conjoin later in the lunar cycle as Jupiter makes its way for its final conjunction with Neptune on the December solstice. The final conjunctions of Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune fully engage a new visionary energetic that will aid us to cross what seems to be a vast abyss still ahead.

The entwining cycles of Uranus, Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter will continue to play a very significant role in the tremendous change occurring in our societal paradigm well into 2011. Uranus and Pluto will then take over for a lengthy square extending well into 2015.

Ensuring a New Consciousness Reigns on Earth

This New Moon occurs on the cups of sidereal Libra. It conjoins Archturus of Boötes and Spica of Virgo. Our previous lunar cycle was defined by Benatnasch--of totalitarian self-proclaimed leaders, political religious figureheads and gurus, and destructive use of power--and by Zavijava, of the blind followers of that directive. In contrast, this lunar cycle shifts to a focus for an administration that supports the safe and harmonious evolution of consciousness and of life on Earth (Archturus) and to participants with the conscious clarity of intent to manifest an unadulterated consciousness on Earth.

Our New Moon also squares the Lunar Nodes, producing what has been called a Moon Wobble, not referring to an actual wobble of the Moon, but to the emotional instability of people and subsequent poor judgment often accompanying that instability, an observation of human behavior associated with this planetary configuration.

Upon the Gibbous Moon, and occurring in the Pollinating Phase of the lunar cycle, Venus moves into alignment with the Sun, Uranus, Saturn and Makemake (one of our newly discovered planets). This marks the start of a new Venus-Saturn-Makemake (synodic) cycle; and the midpoint of vision and realization in the already existing Venus-Uranus (synodic) cycle. This event is one of many creating the shifts and changes in the few-year timeline involving the Makemake & Saturn-Uranus opposition that we are in the midst of. (See the article "In Search of the Golden Egg 2008-2011."

Our Full Moon of November 2, 2009, resides in mid-sidereal Aries and conjoins Kaffaljidhma of Cetus, the brain of the fear-instilling techno-bureaucratic monster of collective human consciousness. Also joining our Full Moon is the Centaur seer Asbolus, and this location in the ecliptic is also that of Asbolus' Perihelion.

Juno (and Neptune) complete their retrogrades just after Full Moon. Juno's direct station marks the full commencement of the new Earth-Juno cycle that began in September (presented in the previous lunar planner); and for the radical reorganization and new opportunities occurring in all types of relationships and partnerships that also began to occur over the previous few months.

Around the Balsamic Moon, Venus and Haumea start a beautiful new cycle in sidereal Virgo; and then, toward the end of this lunar cycle, the first Saturn-Pluto square occurs--a square which maintains a very tight and intense window through January 2010 and continues well into 2010. This window catalyzes a rather dynamic many month period ahead.

September 18, 2009 New Moon Theme
The Administration of Our Lives

This New Moon occurs on the cusp of sidereal Virgo and conjoins Saturn and recently discovered Makemake (pronounced MAH-keh MAH-keh). Occurring within this lunar cycle is the start of the new 32-year Saturn-Makemake cycle. The theme of this lunar cycle and the theme of the new 32-year Saturn-Makemake cycle are quite similar. The Saturn-Makemake cycle is defined by the alignment (synod) of Saturn and Makemake looking from the Sun. The New Moon occurs just a degree past the Saturn. The New Moon alignment is: Earth-Moon-Sun-Saturn-Makemake. The primary New Moon stars are Benatnasch of the Great Bear (Ursa Major); Zavijava of Virgo; and Cor Caroli and the Giant Whirlpool Galaxy M51 of the Barking Hounds. Benatnasch is of the old totalitarian governing stream of consciousness and Zavijava is of naïve followers of this stream of consciousness.

Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune have been conjoining in the latter few degrees of sidereal Capricorn, at the cusp of sidereal Capricorn-Aquarius since April of 2009. Now, in the midst of their retrogrades, Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune begin new and compounded synodic cycles. The new Jupiter-Chiron cycle began in the previous lunar cycle and a new Jupiter-Neptune 12.7-year cycle begins immediately following the New Moon. The theme of this compounded cycle is defined by the cuspal stars of sidereal Aquarius--primarily Sadr, heart the Swan, Cygnus.

Mercury and Juno, both in the midst of their retrogrades, begin new and compounded cycles with Earth on Sept 20-21. The Mercury retrograde period is when we disengage from the previous 116-day Mercury-Earth cycle and engage in the new 116-day cycle. The few week retrograde period itself provides opportunity to re-define or re-synchronize the logistical aspects of our lives. A new Juno-Uranus 4.5-year cycle began in the previous lunar cycle marking a principal and radical transition point for relationships and partnerships of all types. The new Mercury-Earth-Juno cycle starting now is a part of this transition and will tend to actualize the changes occurring in our relationships, especially in the logistical aspects of our lives. Our new Mercury-Earth-Juno cycle's theme is defined by the stars seen looking from the Sun toward the Mercury-Earth-Juno alignment (synod), which lie within the first two degrees of the wet sensual emotional waters of Pisces.

All of these events, the Saturn-Makemake New Moon (and lunar cycle); the start of the new 12.7-year Jupiter-Neptune cycle; the start of the new Mercury-Juno-Earth cycle; and the start of the new 32-year Saturn-Makemake cycle, which occurs just after the First Quarter Moon (a time to initiate action in the lunar cycle) are a parts of the dynamic set of planetary alignments occurring throughout September 2009; and that are responsible for the "September 2009 Turning" in the very significant 2008-2011 timeline presented in the article: In Search of the Golden Egg: Makemake, Saturn, Uranus & the Global Economy. This lunar month should provide further and significant insight in the Makemake's astrological influence.

August 20, 2009 New Moon Theme
Across the Threshold

Our New Moon occurs in early sidereal Leo, under the auspices of the "Head of Lion." This lunar cycle is one of exploration and it invites us to break trail into new territory. Most importantly, it embodies the "Makemake-Saturn Uranus Synodic Opposition"--the point of "Transition" in the Makemake-Uranus-Saturn 2008-2011 timeline. Makemake, a newly discovered planet, is pronounced MAH-keh MAH-keh. This entire timeline is explored in the article "In Search of the Golden Egg 2008-2011" (available to non-subscribers). The September 2009 transition point occurring in this few-year timeline nests within the context of this dynamic lunar month--explored in this month's Lunar Planner. This lunar cycle starts with a series of lunar-planet triggers and ends with more of the same, including the "Makemake-Saturn-Uranus Synodic Opposition," all making for a catalytic lunar month that propels us--"Across the Threshold." This lunar cycle also embodies the Juno-Uranus synod, which marks the start of new emotionally-based cycle in the "Restructuring of Partnerships" currently underway, and which will explode into a new formation at the end of this year. Also contributing to this unprecedented month of transition, we begin a new Jupiter-Chiron many year cycle on the cusp of sidereal Aquarius, the humanitarian waterbearer and with a theme defined by the principle star, Sadr of Cygnus, heart of the Swan. And of utmost significance, this lunar month also embodies the mid-point of vision and realization in the current 44-year Saturn-Uranus cycle. Consider what you may have initiated 22-years ago and what was occurring in our world at that time, as this lunar month marks the epitome of realization regarding it. All in all, this lunar cycle marks a primary turning where we now begin a rather intense many month acceleration of change, yet ultimately leading to our emergence into a new world paradigm.

July 22, 2009 New Moon Theme
Expect the Unexpeccted

Our New Moon Total Solar Eclipse of July 21-22, 2009 occurs in early sidereal Cancer and conjoins the stars of the magical Unicorn; the Thorn in the Lynx; and Aludra, the pure one of the breed. Expect the unexpected. This lunar cycle can also bring our attention to our personal needs, home, family and friends; and to ensuring our personal environments are nourishing and support our physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. This is the longest total solar eclipse of century.

Our Manifestation and Demonstration Moon of August 9-10 conjoins Juno, which stations to begin its retrograde in watery Pisces. Juno is the asteroid of covenant relationships and partnerships of all types. Juno invites us to look at issues of mutual compatibility and respect in our relations. Juno began a very significant conjunction with Uranus in mid-June 2009, which continues through November. This few month period catalyzes transition and opportunity for relationships, and the August 9 Disseminating Moon marks another key shift for relationships. Juno's very significant role during mid to late 2009 (and its ramifications for partnerships) will culminate with a potent Juno-Pluto-Saturn T-square occurring on Dec 28, 2009 through Jan 1, 2010.

Surrounding the August 16-17 Balsamic Moon, which closes this lunar cycle, Earth begins new synodic cycles with Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune. This compounded event marks a primary turning in the Jupiter-Neptune (Chiron) conjunction, which began on May 27 2009 and which continues through December 21, 2009. More importantly, this synodic cycle starting now and unfolding over the months ahead embraces the start of a new Jupiter-Neptune 12.7-year synodic cycle occurring on September 19, 2009, a cycle that continues into 2022. The September Jupiter-Neptune synod is a primary event occurring along with two other very significant events--the midpoint of the 44-year Saturn-Uranus synodic cycle and the Uranus-Earth-Sun-Saturn-Makemake alignment. The September 2009 events create "the transition" in the planetary cycles occurring from late 2008 through early 2011.

June 22, 2009 New Moon Theme
Leaving the Past Behind
Focus to a New Future

Our New Moon of June 22, 2009 occurs in early sidereal Gemini just past the "Gate of Man." Also in the mix is Pluto and the asteroid Vesta. Vesta conjoins the Sun; while Vesta, the Sun, Moon and Earth also align with transformative Pluto, creating a dynamic opening throughout this lunar month with inspiration to leave the past behind. Clarity, focus and commitment are required to walk through the opening Pluto provides. Venus and Juno, the asteroid of covenant partnerships, begin a new 286-day cycle in a very fortuitous area of sidereal Aquarius--conjoining Sadalmelik of Aquarius (lucky one of the kingdom) and several other significant stars. Venus and Mars maintain their close conjunction throughout this lunar cycle, continuing to inspire dynamic and assertive action from the heart. Just after First Quarter Moon, as we enter the action phase of the lunar cycle, Uranus stations to begin its retrograde, while Pallas and Orcus (Pluto's compliment), and Mars and Eris, begin new synodic cycles.

Jupiter and Neptune make their second conjunction of three in this lunar cycle, with the final occurring on the December solstice of 2009. The Jupiter-Neptune several month conjunction surrounds the start of a new Jupiter-Neptune 12.7-year cycle occurring in September, which continues into 2022. This few month period, through December, inspires us to mobilize and expand upon our visions and ideals. Also synthesizing with Chiron, this period invites us to leave the conforming limits of the past and make a crossing into a new world view.

The Manifestation Moon, which creates the birth point in the lunar cycle, occurs at the same location as the Venus-Juno synod in Aquarius, the fortuitous humanitarian waterbearer. Our Last Quarter Moon arrouses our inner need to change. It conjoins Eris the great disrupter and harbinger of change. The Balsamic Moon conjoins Aldebaran of Taurus bringing our attention home and to the infrastructures supporting our lives, as we enter the completion phase of this lunar cycle; when the asteroid Ceres and newly discovered Makemake conjoin bringing attention to financial resources, the environment, and that which is truly nourishing to lead us into the future.

May 24, 2009 New Moon Theme
Dynamic Embracing Action

Our New Moon of May 24, 2009 occurs in sidereal Taurus and conjoins the stars of dynamic Perseus. There are several catalytic planetary configurations occurring in this lunar month. Jupiter and Neptune make their first conjunction of three, with the final occurring on the December solstice of 2009. The Jupiter-Neptune several month conjunction surrounds the start of a new Jupiter-Neptune 12.7-year cycle occurring in September, which continues into 2022. The few month period ahead, from June through December inspires expansive visions and ideals, and brings the mobilizing force to bring them into fulfillment. Also synthesizing with Chiron, this is just what we need to cross the vast abyss that our world faces. Juno and Uranus make their first of three conjunctions, triggered on the Last Quarter Moon, which kicks off a period of radical unexpected changes and unique opportunities for relationships and partnerships of all types. This period continues through November 2009. Juno's arrival to join Uranus in opposition to Saturn is one of several significant events occurring in the few year long Saturn-Uranus Opposition. New year-long cycles with Earth, the Centaur Pholus, and recently discovered Ixion and Quaoar begin in sidereal Scorpio. Venus and Mars conjoin along with the Centaur Asbolus. Like Chiron bridges the realms of Saturn and Uranus, and is of extra significance now due to the Saturn-Uranus opposition, Asbolus bridges the realms of Jupiter and Neptune and is of extra significance throughout the several month Jupiter-Neptune conjunction.

April 25, 2009 New Moon Theme
Beneficence
The Crossing Begins

Our New Moon of April 25, 2009 (GMT) (April 24 MST) occurs in sidereal Aries. It invites us to see beyond the raging dramatics occurring around us and beyond our judgments of them, to instead see opportunities for change, new beginnings, adventure, transmutation and its rewards. In this lunar month, several new longer-term planetary cycles begin. The "crossing for relationships" opens as a new 4.5-year Juno-Chiron cycle and a new Juno-Neptune cycle begin. These cycles inspire relationships of a personal nature and partnerships of professional or political nature to begin to make their crossings upon the new bridges emerging out of an obscuring midst that lead us from the conforming bounds of the past into new opportunities of the future. A Mercury retrograde cycle begins near the time of the Full Moon, along with the start of a new Earth-Mercury 116-day cycle. The retrograde itself, a few week period, provides opportunity to re-define the logistical aspects of our lives, and the ensuing cycle motivates us to take personal responsibility for our entrapments and for the lives we want. Venus and Pluto begin a new cycle, which continues through the end of 2009. This Venus-Pluto cycle, defined by the Solar Apex in Sagittarius, brings opportunity and motivation to live the unique paths of our hearts, true to our hearts' desire, and in the zeropoint of heart's power. Mars and Uranus begin a new cycle in this lunar month as well, on the cusp of sidereal Aquarius-Pisces, a two-year cycle that inspires passionate, radical and dynamic creative action that leads to new frontiers in consciousness. Our Last Quarter Moon conjoins Chiron, Juno and Neptune, and marks a key turning point of change for relationships--the dissolution of some, and the forming of others more ideal. By lunar cycle's end, we come to the first of the Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune conjunctions, which continue over the several months ahead. Starting at this time, Jupiter's expansive and mobilizing force brings tremendous support and optimism to cross what may appear as a massive abyss. What seemed to be in stasis, will now begin to move as Jupiter accelerates and expands our evolutionary transition.

March 26, 2009 New Moon Theme
Intercession of a Pure Heart
A New Birth in Consciousness

Our New Moon of March 26, 2009 occurs in sidereal Pisces and conjoins retrograde Venus. This lunar cycle also embodies the start of a new Earth-Venus cycle, a new Earth-Haumea cycle, and a new Venus-Haumea cycle. The Earth-Venus-Haumea theme is thus of special significance. Haumea is one of our newly discovered Dwarf Planets. This lunar cycle supports an emotional and physical clearing so we may return to or re-engage upon our true heart's path. It brings clarity about the radical changes required in our lives or that we are in the midst of making (if we do our required clearing), and a sense of optimism to continue forth from what may have seemed to have been a diversionary leg along our life journeys.

February 25, 2009 New Moon Theme
Fortuity, Optimism & Trust
- Humanitarianism -

Our New Moon of Feb 25, 2009 occurs in a very auspicious area of sidereal Aquarius producing a fortuitous lunar cycle--one of a humanitarian focus. Ceres, the mother of the primary asteroids, now appropriately classified as a Dwarf Planet, begins a new 470-day (synodic) cycle with Earth, also on the New Moon. Abundant Ceres, of Mother Nature, the cycles of life, and protectress of the collective, brings perspective to this lunar cycle about our environments, concern and caring for the land, agriculture, and of all that is nurturing, fertile, and of the womb.

Relationships become a key theme in this lunar cycle due to the interaction between Jupiter, Mars, Chiron, Neptune and Juno, the asteroid of interpersonal relating, diplomacy, mutual compatibility, and self-worth. This lunar cycle kicks off this relations-related theme with inspiration for expansive mobilization and creative action in partnerships. Relationships must emotionally mature, veils of denial must lift, and new visionary ways of interrelating must form.

The Saturn-Uranus opposition comes into play once again, this time surrounding the Full Moon, with the start of a new 378-day Earth-Saturn cycle occurring just before the Full Moon, and a Sun-Uranian revelation just after. Our previous lunar cycle propelled us through the second of five Saturn-Uranus oppositions and left us perched upon a threshold looking over an expansive abyss, but pointing toward the key required to cross that abyss, thanks to Chiron, albeit a path yet to fully precipitate into palpable form. This Lunar cycle begins our journey to create and cross that bridge into new realms of co-participation--with attention turning toward relationships, where we must first turn Chiron's Key. Mutual compatibility and cooperation in partnerships (Juno) is a primary pre-requisite that we must establish before we can start to structure a bridge through the times ahead. Issues surrounding relationships will become increasingly more significant throughout the year as Juno moves to join forces with Uranus over the month's ahead. Relationships will radically shift and change as we move through the middle of 2009. This interpersonal healing work and reorganization of partnerships is the prerequisite in order to lay the foundation for a new bridge required to move through "the challenge, the transition, and the mobilization of change" occurring over the next few years as outlined in the article "The Saturn Uranus Opposition" (link below).

Several new planetary cycles begin in this lunar cycle, each with their own unique themes, but that will all interweave and unfold over the months ahead. These include Mars, Juno and Jupiter; Venus and Ceres; and Earth and Makemake (pronounced MAH-keh MAH-keh) the third largest Dwarf Planet. Venus beings its retrograde in this lunar cycle as well, which precedes the new Earth-Venus 584-day cycle that will commence on the following March 25, 2009 New Moon, where a new cycle of the heart begins.

To Cross a Threshold

Lunar Planner Excerpt: The New Moon eclipse occurs in the midst of a stellium (grouping) of planets in sidereal Capricorn, including retrograde Mercury, Mars, Juno, the Centuars Nessus and Chiron, and Neptune--all centering on the Lunar North Node. These planets synthesize their forces as if they were one massive planet--and in this case, creating a powerful force or wave that will sweep through our lives and carry us forward into a dynamic year of accelerated change and new realms of experience. This stellium's placement on the North Lunar Node creates a magnetic force that pulls us into the future. In addition, the New Moon conjoins Jupiter, bringing a vast mobilizing and expansive force to this lunar cycle, as well as creating a revelatory one....

This Jupiter solar eclipse energetic will culminate on the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse of Feb 9, 2009, which is a part of a dynamic planetary geometric gateway. This gateway is created by the second of five Saturn-Uranus oppositions, along with Eris, Sedna, Varuna and Quaoar, and Chiron. The event starts on Feb 5 with a Moon-Saturn-Uranus-Quaoar Grand Square, along with three Yods. It continues through the Gibbous Moon and to the Feb 9 Lunar Eclipse with a revelatory conjunction of the Sun and Chiron.
