UNIVERSAL LOVE OF THE HUMANITARIAN
The Juno-Uranus five year cycle began in sidereal Capricorn in 2000, marking the time for a radical change in the nature of our interpersonal relations. This cycle will complete when Juno conjoins Uranus in sidereal Aquarius in Feb of 2005.
This Juno-Uranus cycle provides the impetus to break away from participating in relationships from personal interest and personal love alone; and inspires us to expand our interpersonal capacities to embrace our greater soul families and the human family in unconditional love.
At the global level this is to expand from exclusive, covert relations between countries to inclusive, open relations between all countries--to serve the needs of the entire human family.
JUNO OPPOSITE URANUS
Juno is now (2001-2002) opposite Uranus. Because of Juno's retrograde period (beginning on Dec 25, 2001), Juno creates an opposition cycle with Uranus that continues from Nov 6 through June 9, 2002. Juno's opposite placement with Uranus over the next several months brings vision and enthusiasm, and sobering realization about this radical change in our relationships, and just what this change really implies.
During this time-period, while the Juno-Uranus opposition occurs, Uranus makes its crossing from sidereal Capricorn into sidereal Aquarius. This is an extremely prominent and beneficent event for humanity. Uranus moves into its empowering home where it will make passage for the next seven years. This marks the time where we radically sever from self-interest and covert maneuvers that maintain divisions amongst people, to humanitarian interest and a future vision of one world.
In this period we shed the covertly Capricorn, premeditative tendencies to dictate, define, and control the nature of our relations and move into the spontaneous, humanitarian, inclusive love that embraces the uniqueness of our diversity and differences--that is able to honor the beauty of the unfoldment of life in moment. The Juno-Uranus cycle supports this transition in our most significant relations and those between the leaders and nations of the world.

Juno PsychophysiologyJuno is the asteroid of covenant relationships, soul colleagues, and true lovers. In the astrological chart, Juno indicates the nature of the issues and opportunities in significant relations of all sorts: those that are of a personal nature to those of political leaders and nations of the world. Mature Juno is diplomatic, tactful, cooperative, and mutually trusting. Mature Juno expresses with a sense of equality within self that provides the ability to draw true partners and those of equality into one's life. There is an acceptance of another's truth without need to challenge or debate. There is an ability to honor and support others in their own choices and decisions. Mature Juno expresses self-confidence in humbleness and without defense.
Potential issues are: superiority / inferiority complexes - competitiveness, defensiveness, lack of self confidence, arrogance and judgment of others; unconscious manipulation of others - power struggles seeking contention; betrayal, bitterness, spitefulness and standoffs; jealousy and possessiveness; one-up-man-ship--validating self by invalidating others (or reverse); dictating behavior--telling others what they should or should not do--minding others' business instead of one's own. A form of denial of Juno issues within self can express as needing to fix others or have them change or leave, instead of working on the issues within that surface while in partnership. Mature Juno expresses in mutual support and unconditional love to allow each other to grow and change through whatever issues surface. Other Juno issues are meddling; fear of abandonment, rejection or betrayal; inability to draw or participate with equals and true colleagues; hiding behind teacher-student relationship (on either side); partners drawn are those providing intense lessons only for both parties, rather than providing true, mutually supportive growth in equality and participation together in life purpose.
Juno's placement in the astrological chart is one of several points that determine the types of significant relations drawn into our lives. Because Juno is where we deal with our inferiority / superiority complexes, and if this issue is prominent, partnerships drawn in earlier life can be full of lessons regarding such issues and not much else. Once a certain level of clarity is attained within self regarding the asteroid issues, true soul level covenant colleagues begin to show up. This does not mean we still do not grow regarding Juno issues, but there are those individuals with which we may also have a mutual soul bond and mission to pursue together.

JUNO RETROGRADE
Within the Juno-Dubhe theme (defined above), Juno began its retrograde period aligned with Regulus of Leo, Heart of the Lion, just after the First Quarter Moon of Dec 25. This began a re-defining period for relationships continuing through March 27, 2002.
From Dec 25 through Feb 2, 2002, we were exploring the old way of interelating, From Feb2 through Mar 27, we are identify a new way.
HEART OF THE LION
Regulus, Alpha Leo, is "Chief or King of the Four Royal Stars," governing Fomalhaut, Aldebaran, and Antares. Throughout antiquity, Regulus was associated with royalty and kings. Its name is given as "the Regulus" or "the Rex," meaning "Law Giver." Regulus (at 5° sidereal Leo) is the only one of the four stars aspecting the Holy Cross. Regulus is the administrative seat insuring that "local councils of light" maintain integrity to "Universal Directives of Source"--to the precessional forces directing the "Evolutionary Cycle of the Soul." As an example, Regulus oversees younger stellar administrative seats, such as the Pleiades' Alcyone, ensuring local efforts do not wander to far along their typical evolutionary tangents. Regulus demands integrity to Source.
On the personal level, Regulus is of integrity to, and completeness with self aligned with source / soul directives--thus ensuring we do not wander away from our Truth upheld by and found only in the Heart. Regulus demands a vertical attunement in Source-Soul-spiritual-mental-emotional-physical-Earth allegiance. This vertical attunement, or personal integrity must precede any horizontal, humanitarian participation in the world--embodied by Leo's opposite, Aquarian pole). Without this inner integrity, its opposite pole, "the Water Bearer," is self sacrificing, entrapped in a sympathetic resonance, giving self away at the cost of one's heart truth.
The unevolved Regulus personality is confused about this inner integrity / outer involvement paradox, desiring to be the glittering one on stage, but for the wrong reason, confused that brilliance is something to step into rather than to express from within self. They idolize and envy the true and integrous celebrities or leaders. The awakened Regulus personality knows the fusion-process of carbon into diamond, and that the diamond is complete in its beauty, seeking not more, as it already has become. Awakened Regulus is incapable of corruption, self-sacrifice, avarice, and alluring, as nothing can lure what is already complete. The unevolved still seeks to conquer the outer world, leaving one with the lesson to learn it is self that must transform--being both cause and effect. This is to become self-integrous, in this vertical attunement.
Regulus embodies the secret teachings of the Lion Path. To enter this "Place of the Lion," one requires undaunted purity, seeking only perfection for perfection's sake. Regulus is the inner sanctuary of the heart. On the Earth, Regulus is of all places of "de Leon."
The Juno-Regulus retrograde period (Dec 25, 2001--Mar 27, 2002) occurring within the Juno-Dubhe retrograde cycle (Oct 21, 2001--June 13, 2002) (opposite Uranus) asks us to co-participate with a greater humanitarian vision, not from dominion over another or from self-sacrifice, but in our personal integrity to our soul's / heart's truth and from mutual respect and equality with all parties involved.
JUNO DIRECT
As Juno completes its retrograde period on Mar 27, 2002, it aligns with the star Dubhe of Ursa Major once again. This point in the Juno retrograde cycle brings the inner need to initiate change in how we co-particpate--from the growth gained over the retrograde period. It asks us to now demonstrate participating in our interpersonal relations with the willingness to fight for the greater vision embodied by Dubhe (presented above)--from the evolved Juno characteristics. The entire Juno retrograde cycle of growth will complete on June 13, 2002 when Juno aligns with Regulus once again--sealing our opportunity for growth in this opposition cycle.
In June, wthin the embracing five-year Juno-Uranus cycle, we move into a sobering realization phase regarding the embracing Juno-Uranus theme discussed at the beginning of this snippet--what it means to change from participating from personal covert interest to humanitarian consideration in our relations.
